  • Ballock Replacement- The first problem that we are going to discuss is that of Ballock replacement. These are refill vales, and most of the older styles of toilets have them. It means a hollow floating ball that works on the value to control the flow of water. 
  • There are two types of ballocks: the plunger-type and the diaphragm type, both these type have a floating ball.  The working of the ballock is very simple; one can adjust the water level by bending the float arm up or down to change the point at which the float ball shuts off the water supply.  For example, if you notice that the toilet continues to run, it means that water level is too high in the tank. In this case, you can bend the float arm down, and the float ball will keep the water at a lower level. However, if you notice that problem persists, then you might need to go for ballock replacement. 
  • Running Toilet Repair- This is a comparatively simpler problem, and you can easily resolve it. Running toilet can be because of the flapper is not place rightly, or there is an opening in the flush valve, or you notice that the water level is too high. These problems are easy to rectify, all refill vales have the provision of adjusting the water level, and you can easily adjust or replace the flapper valves. 
  • Flush Handle Repair- Another common toilet repair work is that of the flush handle. It may become loose and come out. The best way to resolve this issue is by reconnecting the lift wire or lift chain that connects flapper with the lift arm. Else, you can simply adjust the handle installed inside the tank. You can rotate it anticlockwise to tighten it. With this basic method, you can easily repair the toilet handle.

  • Leaky Toilet Base- If you find any leakage in your toiler then there is an issue with the wax ring that seals the base of the toilet to the drain opening that is set into the floor. For this you need to remove the toilet to replace the wax ring, If you are a master at DIY, then you can easily do so. It is better to hire a professional plumber to locate the leaking areas. He can seal such leakages without replacing your toilet.
  • Unclogging The Toilet- The next common toilet repair that you face is unclogging the toilet. It s very easy, you can use a plunger to clean your toilet, or you can pour boiling water to unclog the toilet. You can find some chemicals to clean the toilet and you can use some organic cleaners for the same.
